Before retirement, William “Bill” Wiedel Jr. served as President and CEO of CFG Bank. His career spans more than four decades in banking and accounting, including leadership roles in community banking, mortgage banking, financial planning and analysis, and public accounting.
His professional path included Ernst & Young, Provident Bank, Patapsco Bank and CFG Bank. Public profiles note that he began at CFG as CFO in 2012 and later became President and CEO, helping guide the bank through growth, profitability improvements and an expanded Baltimore presence.
