Loch Raven Senior

Hillen, Northeast Baltimore, MD

About the development

A project designed around place, people and long-term value.

Loch Raven Senior is a new mixed-use development responding to the demand for affordable senior housing and child care in the Hillen neighborhood of Northeast Baltimore. The site is located at Loch Raven Boulevard and East Cold Spring Lane, steps from Morgan State University.

The plan calls for a four-story L-shaped building with 63 studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments. A terrace level takes advantage of the site topography and provides space for a Child Development Center and playground on the quieter side of the property. Leasing areas are planned on the ground floor, while the main resident amenity space opens to a large rooftop terrace.

The apartments and amenities are designed with seniors in mind, including no-step entrances, wider corridors, open floor plans and durable finishes. Sustainability strategies include Energy Star windows and appliances, LED lighting, water-saving fixtures and energy-efficient HVAC equipment.
